Beautiful flowers

I look forward every summer to my beautiful lillies blooming. This year, we only got one good stalk, but with several blooms and they sure look lovely. Brooklyn loves to smell them, but Joshy tries to pick them (as he does every flower he sees), so we only let Brooklyn pose for pictures with them. Josh posed next to the bushes - he's allowed to pick the little white flowers off of those. :)
My beautiful flower. And the lillies look good, too. ;)

A very handsome flower. :)

After posing in front of the lillies, she wanted to pose in front of all our other flowers, too.

What our kids like to do

First and foremost, our kids LOVE being silly:

One of my favorite silly faces. :)
Some other things our kids love doing:
Reading books with mommy. (check out that preggo-big tummy?)
Puzzles.
Look how proud she is! She did it all by herself!

Dancing is a favorite pastime for us all.

But the most favorite thing they like to do is: WRESTLE!
(I've tried to get even better video of them wrestling but this is the best I got, so far.)

I Pad pro

A picture can say a thousand words...

Josh is pretty comfortable using the I Pad.

She flips!

The last time we went swimming, Brooklyn learned a new trick... flipping off the side of the pool!

Later, I was walking around in the pool for some light exercise holding Josh in my arms when someone pointed out that he was asleep. So we layed him out under an umbrella where he slept for an hour. :)

I know... very sweet. :)

Fourth of July Fun

What did we do on the fabulous 4th? We washed both our cars and played in the water a bit in the morning. We also went out for some BBQ for dinner. When we got home, we all went for an evening walk around our neighborhood, stopping for a bit at the playground, until the neighborhood fireworks started. On our way home, we stopped for a bit to watch our friends/neighbors shoot off some pretty awesome ones. Josh was a little scared and did not like the loud noises, so Matt took him home for bedtime, but Brooklyn and I stayed a while longer eating popcorn and ohhhhing and ahhhhhing some more.
On our family walk before fireworks started.

Brooklyn leading the way... as always. ;)

Hangin' with Espi, Brooklyn's neighbor and best friend, while watching fireworks.

Fun fireworks our neighbors were setting off.
I think Brooklyn liked them. :)

Joshy boy's growing up

Josh has grown up quite a bit these last few months. Not only has he outgrown his paci (not by choice, of course - he bit off the top of the last paci in the house), he also prefers to do as much as he can by himself. Climb up in his chair, put his seat belts on, feed himself, put his clothes on, get in and out of bed... etc. It's frustrating for everyone, though, as he still doesn't communicate very well, so all we hear is "Noooooo!"
We converted his crib to toddler style so he wouldn't climb in and out of a crib
all night long anymore - that was making us a bit nervous.

The end result of Joshy boy feeding himself spaghetti. And, to be honest, the photo doesn't
do him justice. He had spaghetti EVERYWHERE.
