Christmas 2012

We were so lucky to have Matt's wonderful parents share our Christmas with us. Here are some pictures of our Christmas... for pictures are worth 1000 words:

I made them Christmas pancakes.

Josh said he wanted a Mickey Mouse pancake...random, but at least I could comply.

A fun Birthday Party with friends

One of Brooklyn's best friends, and one of our neighbors, Espi had a fun Birthday party at a beauty school (Paul Mitchell). What a fun idea for a bunch of wanna-be princesses. :) Each little girl came in their favorite princess dress, had their nails painted, makeup applied, and hair done... So cute!

Even Alayna had fun being a princess. :)

Happy Birthday Daddy/Matt

Matt and I have come to the realization that while our birthdays no longer hold any value to us, we continue to celebrate them with joy because of our children. :)

Singing Happy Birthday to Daddy/Matt:

Preschool Christmas Program

Brooklyn's preschool put on a little Christmas program for us parents. Basically, they sang several songs for us. Afterwards, they each opened a gift (a book), then we all had yummy refreshments.

Singing their last song:

The party:

Brooklyn hanging out with her classmates/friends.

Josh helping throw away the wrapping paper... such a good helper.

Eating the treats.

After all that sugar, it was pretty hard for Alayna and I to keep up with them.

Shantel's last visit.

Shantel came to visit us and to exchange introductions of our new babies (Luke and Alayna). This was also serving as a goodbye for her, as she and her family will be moving (from NC - only 4 hours away) much further away (Illinois) in just a month. It was bittersweet as I love spending time with my baby sis (who is just plain awesome), but had to come to terms that she was moving far away soon and we would no longer have our fun weekend trips visiting each other. :( It was very hard to say goodbye, but we had tons of fun... Christmas fun!

Cousin Nathan playing Barbies with Brooklyn. Shhhhhh, don't tell Andrew. ;)

Christmas hayride with the kiddos.

3 happy toddlers with their sippy cups of chocolate milk.

Alayna and Luke... and they are only 3 months apart. Yes, Luke is a big boy. :)

Alayna is 1 month... And technically full-term!

Our little angel Alayna has turned 1 month old and is now technically full-term. Her first month with us has been a dream. She eats well, sleeps well, and even poops well. :) At her last check up she weighed in at 8lbs 12oz (45th%) and was almost 21in long (60th%). Her head is on the tiny side, just 35cm (25th%).
