Amateur Photo Shoot

I attempted my own personal photo shoot of Brooklyn in our backyard the other day. Good thing she's photogenic...

Future soccer player

Since we both love soccer, we of course are hoping Brooklyn does too. Much to our liking, she has already learned to kick the ball around. Now we just need to make sure she doesn't become as rough a player as Matt is.

Things she can do, now that she's ONE...

Now that she is a big ONE year old toddler, Brooklyn is picking up on a few things she sees me do, one of which I have only done on a few occasions, but find myself doing more of, now that I have a partner... and a good partner at that. :)

She's also ready to take on some chores... well, more like mimic chores; like watering mommy's flowers:

On a side note: yes, that is a sweater she is wearing in the middle of May. It was 65 degrees that morning here in SC. Weird, I know!

Averi Michelle Fisher

For those of you who do not know, my brother Dan and his wife Tiffany had their second baby girl over a week ago. She was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, which was a bit surprising, and there are a few complications that are keeping her hospitalized. Please pray for Dan, Tiff, their older daughter Kaili, and of course their newest, and very special addition, Averi.

I promised videos...

Here are some videos I promised I would post.

The first one is at the beach on her birthday; it is what she did most of the time we were there. In the second one, she is playing with one of her toys she got for her birthday... she figured it out pretty fast, and gets upset when it falls over.

This pictures depicts Brooklyn's new and now preferred bedtime routine... falling asleep in Daddy's lap while reading books or watching TV. It's not the best of habits, but Matt REALLY enjoys it. :)

Brooklyn also had her 12 month check up with her doctor (it was actually almost 2 weeks ago), but she weighed in at a "whopping" 18 lbs 6 oz. She's still got a ways to go before she can sit forward in the car (which I know she is looking forward to). She was 28 3/4 inches long, too. The doctor is again slightly concerned about her weight and will continue to have weight checks. The doctor also made me aware, again, of Brooklyn's heart mumur, which the doc still believes is just a "Still's" murmur (common and not serious at all). Other than all that, she got a big check-mark next to healthy 12-month old. She got her shots, and took it like a champ.
