I finally let her have it!

I finally let Brooklyn get into the pantry, after much begging and pleading on her part in the form of huffs and puffs and pouty lips every time I closed the pantry door before she could get inside. I caved when she looked up at me all sad in the face, as if she was asking me, "But, why not mommy?" I thought to myself, "I don't know why not."

So, I removed anything and everything that she should not eat or get into and let her have at it. This is what she did:

She took every trash bag and every sandwich bag out of their boxes. I didn't mind her making that kind of mess - easy to clean kind of mess. In fact I just sat back and watched her do it. Then she crawled inside the pantry and got stuck. She couldn't get her head back out from under the shelf. I think she finally had her fill of the pantry.

You were such a good mom to let Brooklyn play in the pantry. Maybe that will satisfy her curiousity for now. It is good that she is so curious about everything. Can't wait to see her in person!

What day do my kiddos not get into the pantry...I have lost many a chocolate drink mix, bottle of vanilla, box of cereal, and bag of marshmallows to my three little creatures. Someone please tell me this end, lol.

I love this. When Amber was 5 and Emily was 2 they wanted to play in a mud puddle in my back yard (in Kentucky). I kept telling them no....but finally concluded "why not"...so i let them have at it. I took pictures and they are the funnest pictures I have. They both had mud in their hair and clothes. They bathed...they survived...and it made a fun memory.
