Pastelitos!

That's right! PASTELITOS!

In the Fisher family, we salivate at the mention of the word pastelitos. It means someone is coming from Miami and have brought back some yummy Cuban desert pastries. Similar to a turnover, they are a flaky pastry filled with either guava, cream cheese, or some other kind of exotic fruit, or they can even be filled with meat. They are SOOOOOOO good! I have been desiring them these past few months and wished I could make them just like the ones in Miami. Well, I did it! And here is the proof:
I am really enjoying this...

Okay, family... if Brooklyn wasn't reason enough to come visit us, maybe homemade pastelitos will help. :P

It is so easy!! But, alas, I choose to let it entice you all to come and visit us in SC.

I think since I visited you just about 6 months ago I should get special dibs on the recipe. I mean, I came for Brooklyn....not the food!!! Yeah, who really loves you and Brooklyn? Thats right...ME!!!

(you can email the recipe to me)

Touché, Alicia... touché. :) I will email YOU the recipe. To all other family members and friends, let this be an example... come visit and get not only time to squish Brooklyn's adorable cheeks, but a recipe, too. ;)

You asked for it! All 10 of us have packed our bags and are coming to stay. You will have to quadruple the recipe...but hey....you got nothing else to do! The Pastelitos look FABULOUS! See Nessa, you CAN cook! They look like something you'd get from a pastry store...but I bet they're better. Include me in your e-mail to Alicia.
