Tension with neighbors

We had a long night last night as one of our neighbors that share a property line with us had a party until 4:00 a.m. It wouldn't have been so bad had they not partied in their backyard the WHOLE time. Literally, they were outside in their backyard at 3:00 a.m. taking pictures (with the flash) of each other, laughing, talking loudly, playing games, etc. It was just plain annoying! At about 3:30, I had enough and decided to call the police (I would have gone over there myself, but if they were drunk, I didn't want a confrontation). There was finally silence at 4:00 a.m. I can only assume was thanks to a police officer paying them a visit. I was finally able to go to sleep and get at least 4 hours of sleep. Matt had actully gone upstairs when he had enough and ended up sleeping upstairs the whole night. They woke up Brooklyn twice, but, luckily for my neighbors, she went right back to sleep both times.

My concern now is that there will be tension between us and our neighbors. So, how does one deal with that???? Any suggestions??

Hopefully the police officer didn't say who called. So....just act like you didn't do it :)

How Rude to have an all night party outdoors! She deserved to have the police come out. Was this the single girl next door? Hopefully it was a one time thing..

Hey, I deal with this all the time as the coordinator for our crime watch. The perv next door got called on and I made sure the perv knew who called. When I had to call on my neighbor across the street for allowing his dog to crap on my front lawn (and he didnt clean it up), no one told him who called...but I was still concerned that there would be tension between us. I just never acted like I was the one who called. However, if he does ever ask me, I will tell him it was me.

Shame on people for being inconsiderate. All night party...boy are they happy they arent my neighbors!
