5 Months Big!

Look at me! I am 5 months old today! We celebrated by going out to eat with Daddy for lunch and then eating some oatmeal cereal when we got home. What fun!

Quirks!

Brooklyn does some pretty funny things now and we just can't help but laugh at our adorable quirky little girl.

For example, she fell asleep like this one afternoon, still holding on to her toy.


And, I found her like this after a nap. She was wearing the gown when she fell asleep, I swear!

And, finally, this is one of Brooklyn's funny habits. She just opens and closes her mouth. Perhaps she is just practicing for the future... i.e. chewing or talking.

Feet Found!

She found her feet about a week ago with her hands and is now discovering them with her mouth. What fun toes can be!

Shantel's Visit

My sister, Shantel, came to visit us last weekend from Raleigh, NC... well, to visit Brooklyn, really. Brooklyn really liked her (most of the time). She liked making Shantel laugh especially. She would make a funny face that would send Shantel rolling. What a clown!

I was very glad to have my sister here. We even had some wonderful 3 a.m. discussions about everything that matters and everything that doesn't. I love you Shantel! You are so much fun! Seriously!! I hope you can come visit us again - soon.

Wanting to crawl...

She's got the logistics of crawling... she just needs a little more strength. I guess it won't be long till she is mobile! Time to start baby-proofing everything.

Yelling at toys...

I don't know why Brooklyn was yelling at her toys, but I am sure they deserved it. :)

Also, you can see why one of her newest nicknames is "little cricket".
