Two Months and Counting...

Brooklyn is now 2 months old and loving life!

She still loves taking a bath, and she still loves her vibrating play chair.

She also went to the doctor for a check-up. She weighed in at 10 lbs 10 oz and measured 22 inches in length. She remains in the 50th percentile in all her measurments. Way to go Brooklyn!!! As you can see, she is very proud of herself.

She also received several shots (2 in each leg).

We thought she could best tell you how it all went herself...

Happy Father's Day!!

Matt celebrated his first Father's Day today. We went to church, took naps and played with Brooklyn all day.

Daddy made her smile a lot today...

He made her really smile a lot today...

And then they shared lots of eskimo kisses.

Also, Matt's parents were here from Alabama this past week to visit Brooklyn. Their trip was not long enough, though. We did get to go sight seeing with them, which was the first time for Matt and I, and we discovered that there are some pretty cool things to see out here besides the beaches. But, of course, the most beautiful thing Grandma and Pa-Pa saw was baby Brooklyn:

Happy Baby!

As you can see, Brooklyn is very happy being six weeks old today. Although she hasn't quite figured out how to laugh yet, she does have the smiling thing down really well. And with as goofy a father that she has, I am sure she will be laughing very soon.

Doctor's Visit

Brooklyn had her 1 month check up with her doctor today and she weighed in at 8lbs 12 oz (over 1 1/2 lbs gained) and she now measures 21 inches (1 1/2 inches grown). She is in the 50 percentile. Way to go Brooklyn! She also made the nurses and the doctor laugh by crossing her eyes and staring at her nose in front of them all. What a clown!

1 Month Old

Brooklyn is now 1 month old, and she still eats, sleeps and poops a lot! Some of you might be proud to know that she is sleeping 5-7 hours at night already... I know we are.

She also likes sitting and sleeping in her new vibrating bouncer.





She now somewhat enjoys her bathtime since she doesn't have to be sponge bathed anymore.





She doesn't like playing dress-up yet, even though mommy and daddy love it.
